Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We’ve had quite a roller-coaster ride through 2013. We’re so happy that you’ve been there with us the whole way. We hope that you this holiday season finds you happy and healthy. Cheers to you, Family!
Have you tried our homemade veggie burger? Quinoa and Chickpeas come together to make a tasty and GLUTEN FREE patty. Give the “Hippie Burger” a try on your next visit.
“Why are you closed?” “What happened?” “WHEN will you re-open?”
These have been the most asked questions in the last 6-ish weeks. The best answers I can give you go a little something like this…
We shut down on Friday the 13th of September due to a catastrophic flood. We had a lot of drying to do, which took time. We had a lot of things to replace (like one entire side of the restaurant) and that is taking time. Some folks tried to take advantage of our down time by burglarizing us during our dry out (don’t worry…we’re a stone fortress these days) and fixing/replacing that stuff is taking time. And then, the catering van got totaled in a car accident, which just took up a lot of my time filing another insurance claim. So…Lemons Lemons Lemons = LEMONADE. How can we stay so positive? Because the Stuff is JUST STUFF. It can be replaced. We still have our health. Our kids have their health.
Sadly, not everyone can say that their kids are healthy, which BREAKS my heart. So, our Grand Re-Opening is also a fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego – the “Home away from Home” for families with critically ill or injured children. We’re making lemon ricotta pancakes and lemon bars and lemon cheesecake and lemon cupcakes AND LOTS OF LEMONADE to lend a little sweetness to the families at Ronald McDonald House https://www.rmhcsd.org/ We will be raising $ for Ronald McDonald house from November 9th – 23rd.
The Trails Grand Re-Opening is scheduled for November 9th! We are a community restaurant (hence the name), and we would love and appreciate your support in sharing the great news of our re-opening date. If you would like to share our flyer with your network of friends or co-workers, please use the image from this site or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can send you an image. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Stacey & Team Trails
Get ready…for a modern twist on lemons…you’ll see…
Thank you to all of Stacey’s fans and supporters while she competed on Food Network Star Season 9 this summer. While Stacey was the 3rd runner up this season, she is happy to have had an incredible experience on the show and to have met a wonderful group of Chef’s. Stacey enjoyed meeting so many of her loyal fans this summer when they stopped by The Trails to try the Maple Bacon Cheesecake, Hot Mama Butterscotch and Wild Man Potatoes. Pursuing her career in front of the camera has been put on the back burner for the fall, while Stacey focuses on Family and putting The Trails back together after a catastrophic flood.
This holiday weekend enjoy a Baja Betty Burger, Strawberry Spinach Chicken Salad, BruceLee Burger, Trails Monte Cristo and (at dinner only) WildMan Potatoes.
